Help with 45acp load. 230gr Campro and power pistol

I am in Yellowknife, N.T. Nowhere locally to get a different powder. I only have power pistol powder. I have 230gr Campro plated bullets. What is a good start load (and max load to work towards)??
I cant find data on this powder/bullet combo.
I am using a 1911 commander 4.25" barrel.

What primers and brass did you use? What velocity did you get?
 
Ok, this may confuse more than help but Speer says for a 230 gr .45 TMJ RN power pistol is a 7.0 grain start charge , max 8.1. Velocities are 806, 916 respectively.
However, Lyman says the 230 gr TMJ is a start charge of 6.4 gr, max is 7.2. Velocities are 775, 858.
Now, I realize these aren't specific campro load data and I don't use power pistol, so, use at your own risk. Lyman seems safest to start with but...
 
You should be good starting at 6.4 gn as long as there is adequate case fill. The type of bullet only matters due to OAL which implies a certain seating depth for a given bullet. Pick a 230 gn RN bullet or similar to the Campro you're using and use the reference OAL to get you started. At a start load you should be well within safe pressures as long as seating depth is reasonable.

Load 6.5 gr to 8.0 gr in 0.4 gr increments, 7 of each, and see what shoots best. All should have enough power to cycle the action. 8.0 is full power.
 
Campro gives load data on their webpage. Look for your exact campro bullet on campro's webpage and compare loads in the known... pick something that is listed in the data along with data for power pistol on something else, then you have a point of reference. Start at the bottom and work up
 
Campro doesn't have any Power Pistol data for 230 grain .45 ACP, so just use whatever 230 grain jacketed bullet data you can find.
