Help with a Swiss Schmitt Ruben in 7.5

Hi folks

I'm looking for someone who is very knowledgable in these rifles, I had one offered to me but it's way out of my collecting scope, the rifle looks in excellent condition with a great looking bore. Bolt and receiver match, mag doesn't, not sure if it's supposed to. I have no literature on these rifles but thought it would make a fine shooter. Are they worth $680 I have a plethora of pics I don't really feel like spending an hour on my phone in ####y service uploading them to photobucket but I can email them

Looks like a K31, in nice shape, but they typically go for $300. I'm not an expert, ask tac foley or diopter

Also what's the disk for on the butstock

Mag should match, but sometimes got mixed up at matches.
Just the W&F diopter sight is worth $300-$350. Rifle the same.

It really depends on the barrel. .751 is considered new, .753-4 for a Hämmerli match barrel, .756-7 pretty much shot out for SSV match use. The diopter looks to be a standard WFB model with matching front sight. Given the current and rather dramatic increase in the Swiss Franc, $500-600 would be about right for a rifle like this.

By the way, a K31 is not a "Schmitt Ruben"

It is a K31 target rifle. As mentioned, ordinary K31 rifles are in the $300 - $350 range, but this one has the target sights on it. At $600, it would be a fair buy but I would not really go over that for it -- and it depends upon the bore condition.
