Hi,
I have a Bassett m14 mount, I'm having some difficulties. No matter what type of rings I try and put on it they don't fit properly. I've tried weaver and picatinny both, and several different brands (courtesy of the nice fellows at the WSS gun counter) All with this result, the rings always sitting to high and angled. Pictured here is the mount with Leupold rings (all rings look the same when put on it no matter the brand or type). It appears to me that the mount is to wide for any type of rail to fit properly.
Any help is much appreciated.
