I was offered a browning B.A.R. .22lr and really want to give the guy what it is worth. It is in about 90%/95% condition for metal and wood. Nice little gun, and since I love brownings, I want it. What do you think is the value?
Any issues to look for with these?

The bolt handle is in a ziploc in the original box. I dont think this has seen a lot of use.
Next question: How hard is it gonna be to re-install the bolt handle? Are these nightmares to take apart?
Got a feeling it will be like the Ruger mk111 that I owned that ended up in a box as disassembled gun parts....
anyhow it has a nice adult-gun dimensions which I like. Seems well made.

Well I'll be damned. I've searched the internet high and low and cannot find how to disassemble the BAR22. Does anyone have a video or schematic for disassembly??? Because it isn't my gun yet, and because I do not want to buy it until I check the innards, I am gonna wait to see the insides first. I tried to remove the foreend by unscrewing the screw holding it , but it will not come off. It drops about 1cm from the secured position, but I am afraid to "force it" in case there is a reason I am meeting with resistance in pulling the foreend off. I have learned more than once the hard way of forcing stuff in or out.
I also want to check the condition of the plastic bolt buffer as , during my online reading , it seems that these are the most problematic part and they can be near impossible to find a replacement.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, if anyone can help out a semi-isolated CGN'er with some guidance in my disassembly , I would be forever grateful!!!!!! Can't find a single thing about the BAR22 takedown. Lots out there in regards to the centerfire version, but I don't think they are much alike other than external esthetics.
