Help with DIP products

Hi,
I have a Stevens 22WMR that I changed the stock out to a Richard'S Microfit Wildcat Thumbhole.Anyways I would like to put the DIP trigger guard,bottom metal and longer action bolts on it.But,from what I can see they will not ship to Canada.Is anyone aware of a dealer that will ship to Canada.Or is there someone up here that carries DIP products.I have looked around with no success.If worse comes to worse I'll have to make my own.

I had sent them an email last year about this problem and they replied that they will not :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: up here and there are no dealers up here. I just went with the savage parts sadly.
 
I'm presently considering asking someone I know in the States if they would mail them to me if I have them shipped to their place.I waiting for a reply from them.I also may have another way,but waiting to see what happens.

Position the plate over the front action hole... trace the outline with a fine permanent marker and use a Dremel with a barrel wheel to inlet up to the mark... you can also deepen the whole plate area so that it fits flush with the surface of the stock. Some of my DIP products required minor inletting also...

I found out about that after some were sold and every person since has been told that the opening may need to be opened up, depending on the vintage of the action. Mine is an older non-accutrigger version and the plates fit those perfectly.

I went through the same thing for my MkII Savage when I got my Boyd's Tacticool stock. I ended up buying the longer screws & trigger guard from Savage (a pleasant & painless experience it was, though!), and made my own bottom plate out of 1/8" cold-rolled plate steel (good luck deforming THAT with those action screws!!). In the end, it worked extremely well, and didn't cost much at all (a fair bit less than the DIP products).

You have the current "E" receiver and mmattokx made the plates for the "non-E" receiver guns. Actually had this problem during Savage's transition years (mid-2008) the switch caused alot of confusion.

Have you thought about manufacturing an "E" style plate? There are always alot of guys looking for them... spend an afternoon fabricating and make a little coin, at the same time as helping out alot of shooters.

I had two batches laser cut and still have a number left from the last batch. The minimum order amounts are such that a batch is a pretty big pile of plates and I don't want to order that many.

I ordered my DIP kit shipped in the US to a warehouse (CBI) and brought them over myself. It's a half hour or so to the border for me, so I plan ahead and order a few things to make the trip worth the gas and time.

As for MOA scope mounts, check out EGW (Evolution Gun Works). If they have something to fit your rifle, contact Mystic Precision. I got my 20 or 25 MOA rail for a Savage MkII from him.
