I cannot for the life of me find reloading info (more importantly, case overall length) for the 200 grain flat point Frontier cast copper-plated bullet. Driving me freakin' bananas. I'm using HP-38 (samer as Winchester-231). In kind of a rush as I wanna load a hundred or so rounds to try out my Hi-Point mods tomorrow night.

Anyone?

.45 loads

Just checked my hodgdon #27 manual and it lists a start charge of 4.4 gr. and a max charge of 5.6 gr for 200 gr cast lswc with a col of 1.225". And a start charge of 5.2 gr and a max charge of 5.9 gr with a max col of 1.155" for 200 gr spr jhp , all above weights are for HP38 . From what I have been lead to beleive the copper plated bullets load somewhere between cast and jacketed if you go to the aim projectile website they give a better explanation there . Myself I have been loading the same bullets just down from jacket pressures and seem to run perfectly in my springfield with no adverse signs of pressure !

Using what COL? I ended up going with 1.20" COL and 5.3 grains of HP-38. I'm more worried about possible feeding issues with the 1.20" than anything else....
I loaded 100 rounds to try out my newly-modded Hi-Point. Let's see if I can't jam her up LOL

I'm still experimenting but I've been using 5.7gr of W231 and an OAL of 1.25" with the Frontier 200 gr. in my Springfield Armory 1911A1 without any problems.

load as long as your mags will allow

That simple? Wow!

Thanks for all the input, guys. As stated earlier, it's the COL that had me worried more than the powder load. I know that 5.3 grains of HP-38 (same as W-231) isn't close to being a sizzling hot load. I'm just worried about possible feeding issues due to improper COL.
As well, I imagine that in the case of certain powder-filling casings, having the bullet seated too deeply would cause excessive pressures. Am I wrong on this?

Make your OAL to fit the barrel of your gun:
