Help with handi rifle combo value

Hi guys, I've got somebody trying to sell me a NEF handi rifle combo with a 30-30 barrel and a 20 gauge barrel. It's a ducks unlimited edition in good shape and comes with a case. Open sights on the 30-30 barrel and no scope base. It's a friends mother wanting to sell it, so I don't want to take advantage, but I don't want to pay too much either. I don't know much about these guns, so I figured I'd turn to the combined knowledge of CGN for help. Thanks

The set is worth $400 in excellent condition... I have the same set, dressed up a little... it would obviously cost more in this configuration.

Right on guys, thank you very much. Naturally the rifle is in a different province, and the pictures I've gotten aren't great, so I'll have to ask for better photos.
