Help with high mounting red dot on Scorpion Evo

Ok, so to start I am an odd duck since I am right handed and left eye dominant. I can shoot rifles by closing my left eye, but generally prefer to mount my optics a bit higher if possible so I can shoot cross eye dominant, right handed, with both eyes open. No don't try to convince me to shoot left handed.

I just picked up a scorpion evo and it came with a TRS-25 red dot on it, in the typical low mount set up (co-witness with irons). I have instantly fallen in love with the gun. To make it better I figured I could put my fast-fire III red dot in its AR height AR-F3 mount (link to pic below). I took this off my AR and it looks good on the scorpion and fits me perfect for the way I want to shoot it. I can even use the irons through the mount under the dot. One problem - the optic does not have enough adjustment on the scorpion to hit POA - maxed out for adjustment it hits 8" low at 15 yards.

I suspect the Fast Fire does not have enough adjustment because they are typically mounted much lower (most do not run the AR-F3 mount), and the scorpion has a greater difference between the bore and optic mount then my AR.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a red-dot that would have enough adjustment for me to get on target, with an AR-style height mount? This is an indoor range only toy so no high-end priced options please.

No thoughts on this? Is there a QR AR-15 height mount that would work well for the Bushnell TRS-25 I now have laying around? Would the trs-25 have enough vertical adjustment to hit POA?

The trs-25 would not be my first choice but I suppose if it would get the job done...

You could always try a Venom on there. Order off of Amazon and see how it works. Worst case it doesn't and you send it back. I plan on trying a Venom and a trs25 but I'm more interested in the co-wittness position.

Alternatively you might have to consider a full size dot as opposed to a micro if you want to use it that high.

Just as an update. I was at Cabela's today and saw they had the Vortex Sparc II on sale for $229 so I picked one up for my Scorpion. It comes with 3 different height mounts and they are stackable to give you even more height if you so desire. I'd say it's worth a look as I think you'll be able to accomplish your goal with this dot.

I actually ordered the shim - Burris warranty people indicated to me that it would fix my issue. Cost $15 shipped so we will see if that works - otherwise the Sparc seems to be a reasonable option!
