Help with holster id

Anyone know what this holster was for?

Look old.....but same shap as an Enfield/Webley 38S&W.

Any ideas?

Old RCMP? Military Police? No markings.....Canadian?

could you post some pics showing the strap attacment on the rear, adn with the flap open?, it looks like a sam brown belt, so could be rcmp, or military, brit or canadian. any stamp work on the leather of dyed on the interior?

.... I don't really know about the really early RCMP ones, but for over 50 years they've been Brown ( I know, it could have been dyed ) and the attachments, two Brass "D" Rings, are attached at the back of the Holster, for the "Sam Browne" shoulder strap. Also the older ones used the "stud" to hold the flap in place, and there was no short strap going up to the flap. Rather the Flap itself went over the stud. Therefore NOT likely to have been RCMP issue, in my opinion. .... David K

I'm going to hazard a guess and say it looks like it was made for a Webley revolver.
