Was recently sent this pic from a friend of a friend who's relative apparently brought this back from one of the wars, believe WW1 but they aren't sure. Every search I do shows the stamp on 2 lines, anyone seen one like this? Thanks in advance.
Looks Belgian to me so look for Belgian proofs on the frame and cylinder. ELG stamped in a circle means pre 1893 manufacture. if there is a star on the stamp its likely post 1893..
