Help with identifying my m305

Most of the 'M305's' currently Stateside are mostly Polytechs, as I recall. Not as valued as you'd think due to the propaganda campaign by U.S. firearm makers et al about how poorly made they were. Bad headspace etc.
Won't be a 2009. Slick Willy's ban was in 1995. If it is one of those. Not likely to have been sitting around in a warehouse for 14 years.

To be honest, I don't remember seeing any "norinco" or "polytech" markings on it. I'm still gone on vacation and won't be able to confirm until I get home in a couple weeks.

The majority of the "poly techs" I've seen were a dark almost blued finish , were heel stamped and had a mid receiver take down notch as well as the forward slot under the oprod rail for a connector arm assembly. Imported at some point in 90's(?)
If I remember right, bell lifestyles or maybe Canam (?) imported some "poly tech" side marked receivered rifles in 2010/2011 but I don't have any here to verify. They were ugly as hell due to the reweld and machining/repark done to fill in the mid oprod take down and other details not relevant to our discussion

Bell Lifestyle imported 2009 Polys and Can Am brought in 2011 marked Poly Techs.

The "history" on these things get awfully confusing sometimes. Had a few guys pm me now with pics of their 09 poly's too.
When I work(ed) on these things I don't really distinguish between Norinco or Poly Tech markings. They went in the book as Chinese followed by serial LOL

This thread got me thinking. I bought my Norinco years ago and forgot the stamping. I think mine was intended for the US market. It says made in China, but also shows, "CJA SFLD.MI."

I can see how all this could be a bit confusing for a new owner.

CJ Arms, Southfield, Michigan. The receivers were made in the late 80's for the US market, but not assembled due to the Clinton ban. Then after 2001 the guns were finished and imported by Marstar by the container load, for year after year to about 2010. That was the heyday of the $400 M14.
