Does anyone have a simple fix or easy low cost solution, ie not replacing the trigger group, to bring my Savage 12 F class up to 2.2lbs of trigger pull?
The accu-trigger, tweaked all the way up, won't go beyond 1.5lbs.
I need it to go to 2.2 for a competition.
Savage is on holidays till next week - tried calling them this morning.
Cheers,

Accu-trigger can be adjusted, which I have, but it only goes to 1.5lbs.
That being said it should not require an entire new trigger to get it to 2.2. Maybe someone has done this by replacing the trigger spring, or jerry rigging something to increase the tension.
I have only tried to lighten triggers, not make them heavier. Thus my attempt to find someone that has gone this route and knows what to do.
Cheers,

the trigger should be adjustable from 2.5 to 6oz, at least thats what the manual for my savage f-tr says, i think it should be the same trigger group

Nope, it is maxxed out at 1.5lbs. The newer accu-triggers on the Model 12 F class rifle are listed as 6oz (breath and it shoots!) to 1.5 - which is still too light for shooting in a sniper competition (1kg trigger weight).
Buy a new trigger group to replace the accu-trigger is 100USD plus shipping. Hopefully an easier fix exists.

Newer accu-triggers and those on the Model 12 F class rifle are 6oz to 1.5lbs, thats right from Savage.

The answer lies somewhere in the hardware, not the software.
Has anyone replaced the trigger spring to a stiffer variety, and if so where can you get it?

I've been told that I could lighten the pull of my 12 FV simply by installing the spring for the target model of Accutrigger so its reasonable to think that installing a heavier spring would increase your trigger pull.
