maybe take saiga mags and make them work with grizzly.. some cutting and welding.. :)

You forget the stupidity of our laws. As those mags were designed to work with a semi-auto the mags are prohibited. Modify all you want but they'd still be prohibited.

New if the OP could make use of some of the parts from the mags, well then, carry on.

All together now, face-palm for our gun laws:

Hahaha, its only concepts so far. I use to do alot of drawing on Inventor, AutoCad and MasterCam, back while I was in school and with my last job, now I dont do any of that. I wanted to get my brain working again so this is my current project.

I know I will need to buy a magazine to get some more exact specs, but that wont be till later. Currently trying to figure out how to fit 25 shells (1 box) into a practical size drum.

Another issue will be how to feed the last 2 shells out of the drum, and up 2 inches into the vertical part to chamber it. I was hoping there was less then 1" hiding away.

Also wish I could get my hands on a Saiga drum to reengineer it.

So i have been thinking about this, could you possibly use feed ribbons like on a 10/22 butler creek 25rd mag? one on each side pulling a follower at the end of the drum? been doing some sketches it would get you your last shot up into the action and could 15 rounds with a not-so-unwieldly 5" drum, in a half century (i think thats what its called) style drum (comes out of the magwell and curves only to one side)
