Looks like a fairly current civilian model - just going by the condition and bluing. Gotta' be worth $800, I would think.

I'm by no means an expert on these - not even close - I just like them. I'm sure there are guys on here who would have much greater knowledge about it, if there's something special about it. I was just going by the condition, bluing and the fact that it was Belgian made.

Looks like the frame is Hungarian . There is a legend about Hungary sending HiPovers to Iraq in 1980-1981 without any markings or with " fake" markings . According to the story two shipment arrived one not .
Or could be an early Kassnar import , some where assembled from parts by magnum research .

I have one of the Hungarian guns as well as a proper FN.

The Hungarian ones that were FN marked did not have the FN proof marks. and the serial number layout on mine is different and starts with a B. Not sure what to make of yours.

FN made Browning HP serial numbered slide, barrel and frame all in the same place when they did it
FN Browning contract serial number' s are only on the frame in most cases
So, I don't know, unless someone fitted a Browning slide etc

Walnut grips, external extractor, fixed sights, hooked hammer. Serial number is not on the front of the frame strap, but on the sidewall, so not sure I can say more clearly. But certainly commercial to me. Marked Montreal too. It doesn't show much obvious wear. They used to be $700-$800. Maybe a grand nowadays.
