I have been trying to get some 64gr winchester power points to group out of my AR-180B and can't get a group under 4". Even the factory ammo sucks. Have tried other bullets in the same weight range (68 bthp match) with good success but these seem fussy. I have Varget and a surplus ball similar to 335. Any tips or hints appreciated.

Try a different powder. I have had good luck with 64gr.ers in a boltgun with AA2015. Or perhaps W748. There are many others to try.....

I'd bet your rifle just doesn't like that bullet. But trying a different powder is the way to go, for sure. Mind you, if you don't have lots of the 64 grain bullets or are likely to have trouble getting more, you may want to stick with the match bullets. Assuming you're not hunting with them. Match bullets are not made for hunting anything but targets.

I shoot the AR180B as well, and the 64 win sp don't shoot well out of mine ,and they don't group well from my Tikka either,so I figure they're just crappy bullets.Like you,the 68 bthp shoot pretty good.My favourite hunting load for the AR is 60 Hdy SP with 26 or26.5g Varget(27.0 is max)
I'm getting 1 1/4" groups @ 100,pretty good for that rifle.GJ

What is the rate of twist? I have a 1 in 9 shooting 68 bthp (Hornady match) in front of 26 gr. of varget. I also used the 64gr psp without any luck. Went to Barnes' TSX 62gr.in front of 26gr of Varget and grouping was under 1" at 100m. Hope this helps.

I have come to the conclusion that the 180B does not like flat base bullets. Chalk 1 up to experience. I will try the new Sierra 65 sbt next.

Thanks
