help with M14 info

See the sub-forum at the top of the Battle Rifles page? There's a treasure trove of info regarding M14's and clones there (though pictures may not be hosted anymore).

1] I know HiCal in Mission had some parts last time I was there, like shims and magazines.

Wolverine Supplies, top of the page has USGI parts kits, tgen but an older in spec Norc, or step up to an LRB, or a JRA, Fulton, or upgrade an SAI. All available from forum sponsors, or buy used off the EE. I wouldn't be buying anything new from a store.

Okay my M14 clinic experts from several years back, there’s only one of me but shztloads of expert help here....anybody in the BC Interior able to shed some light?

My Western Road Trip this summer seems to be all CQB themed so my M14 tools are staying in Ontario this go around. I’m even out of time when I swing to Victoria for my son’s wedding in July!

Super tight time lines!

Can anyone step up here?

Cheers, Barney

haha I see what you are trying to do there.....
I don't have it in me to run any more clinics ...... I could host one but I'm not into being the "instructor".
My disabilities have me picking and choosing when i exert myself these days and being on my feet on the tools for a clinic is just not in the cards.

to answer the OP's questions.... I can cover 1,2 and 3
1) some of the gun shops in BC carry random items , wanstalls, reliable, armtac and there could be others. Dlask arms out of delta has a couple items as well. For milspec/usgi parts Wolverine supplies is pretty much the go to place.... while they have remaining stock. As others mentioned, the EE here is also a very valuable source for parts and upgrades.
2) Clinics..... I'm "retired" from doing clinics and as far as I know there is no one else in BC able/willing to do them.
3)the differences in barrel length will be same as any other rifle..... some foot per second loss on bullet speed so the shorty wouldn't be my choice if I ws buying for any kind of long range. That said, I find the 18.5" barrel to be the perfect barrel length for these rifles. They handle better and there is less barrel whip as they heat up during prolonged range sessions. Boils down to what you want the rifle for. My 22" barreled rifles are fun guns for shooting targets and I also have an 18.5" to toss in the truck or on the front of my ATV when I'm out and about during hunting season or bushwackin on the ATV into flyfishing lakes.
