Help with Martini Henry Identification

I have a Martini Henry that I'm not sure of , not my area of interest. Anyone out there shed some light on it's origins? Pretty sure it's commercial and in pretty good condition.

I have a few MH’s, looks like a commercial.

Try the Martini Henry Society on FB, they are an absolute wealth of information.

It generally follows the pattern of a MKIII military rifle, but with a MKI cocking indicator.

Likely commercial or possibly a scrubbed MKIII.

Check under the barrel for proof info, steel supplier or possibly manufacturers markings. I might be able to decode some of that for you.

The Crown/B is a government view required to use a commercial rifle in official competitions after a certain date. I've had Sniders and Long Lee types with the same marking.

Thanks for the feedback. An old fellow told me he thought it had been purchased for competition years ago. Bore is very good.
