I had my daughter (10) out to the range today shooting my Anschutz 190. It was just too big. I'd like something with a 16-20" barrel, 4-5lbs and peep sights, possibly a target stock.

So do I build (I haven't found anything online yet) or buy?

I was thinking I could start with a CZ452, Marlin 915Y Stevens cadet or similar. mount a peep rear and globe from and change the stock out possibly.

Any ideas out there?

Another idea is the Chipmunk made in Oregon.Really nice little riffle.
I am in the interim of building a Anschutz style stock for my 8 year old.I'm using cooey receiver, glass bedded and a thick cooey barrel free floating cut down to the size of a cooey "Ace ".The barrel is 19mm thick and should be quite accurate.I'm putting an Anschutz peep sight on it.I could send you some pics if you are interested.
Anyway keep well
