Help with my AR build

So I have been scavenging the interwebz for parts. So far, I have a Colt Canada stripped lower, and a Colt Canada 15.7 IUR (Danish Surplus).
I am debating on parts kits, iron sights, and BCG. I do not want to put optics on it yet, as I do not want to dish out the amount for them yet (student budget, already eat ramen noodles on the daily).

1. Any difference between rainier and anderson bcg's? They are about the same price on CTCS, so I dont know if quality will matter here.

2. For iron sights, I wanted gas block style front and M16 style rear, but the gas block is out, as the gas block on the IUR is not like a standard AR (or is it, sorry I'm new to AR building). I looked at TROY m4 battle sights, they are nice but expensive. Another option was the magpul BUIS sights, but they are polymer (although quite cheaper). I also say True North Arms had a Front Sight for Picatinny Rail or Gas Block (https://truenortharms.com/collections/iron-sights/products/rail-mount-front-sight). Would these work with Troy M4 rear battle sights?

3. As for parts kit, still debating on Anderson or DPMS lower, they are the same price. And have found positive reviews online for both of them. Does anyone here have any experiences with these LPK's?

Sorry for all the questions, I just dont want to buy parts and have them not work on the AR. I have exhausted my google searching and just have it down to these choices at this point.

Most bolt carriers are relatively the same as long as they meet mil spec standards. The only real variations are coatings (pick your flavor) and some redesigns but those add significant cost.

If you're just going to be running iron sights as your primary I'd strongly recommend getting the best quality you can afford. I've had okay luck with magpul plastics, but the cheapest I'll usually buy now is Troys. The EE has a few sets in and around the 200 dollar mark which is reasonable. You can still go the A2 front sight block route but will need a gunsmith to drill the barrel for the taper pins which will add in cost as well.

Lower parts kits are typically all the same, there's not a whole lot to go wrong with them.

Not knowing the purpose for your build (distance you want to shoot), I would suggest buying a used less expensive red dot like a Vortex Sparx AR or a Holosun instead of expensive iron sights. You will have way more fun with a red dot than iron sights and its not like your life depends on your rifle so if your red dot runs out of batteries and you don't carry a spare, you shoot something else or you are done for the day. I have iron sights on one of my ARs and sure they look cool but I never use them. I CAN shoot with iron sights if I had to but on my other AR, I didn't bother putting any on. Just my 2 cents.
