The flash hider keeps coming off of my Mini 14. It's just a slip on type that goes over the barrel and is not (from what I can see at least) secured via anything other than friction against the barrel.

The front sight does have a nut or something holding it on. The flash hider has a slot on it that goes over the front sight.

Any ideas?

Loctite 609, the thick, light green stuff. Fills gaps up to .015'' if I remember correctly. I use it all the time at work for worn bearing diameters. Couple drops should do the trick for a long time. Only thing is that if you want it to come off its going to take some effort( punch and big hammer, aka millwright style:D)

Is the front sight not held on with a pin? my old mini had the flashhider held on with a rollpin. It looks like there is a hole in the top of your hider. If your sight does have a pin through it you could remove it and get a longer one that would go through both the hider and the sight. Keep in mind this is a this is only a speculative reply.
