I would highly recommended the Windam Weaponary SRC; you will be hard pressed to find better fit and finish, and mil-spec hardware on an AR at that price point, with a lifetime transferable warranty. Fantastic rifles.

I picked up a DD mk18 as my first AR, I can't believe I've waited this long to get into the AR circle but now I sort of wish I had a 16" upper. I debated long and hard and couldn't bring myself to coughing up the dough for a Noveske as my first AR but wanted something i know would last so DD ftw

Get the DD, high quality cold hammer forged barrel and very nice fit and finish.
