A guy I know wants to sell three guns in a package deal. I want the Trap gun.
The other two guns are in very good condition but they have been used for hunting. One is a Sako Forrister 308 with a 4X Redfield scope and the second gun is a BSA 7X57 with a 4X Leopould scope. I'm guessing that the scopes are great quality but most people are after a variable power so the value may not be very high. Any help would be great. He thinks these two guns are worth about $1200. I think that may be high. What price would sell these guns quickly.

I'm fond of Leupold 4X scopes, but I've bought them for $200.

The Redfield is bound to be really old.

I think $500 each with the scopes is fair, but that's just me.

I wouldn't sell your buddies pricing short with the sako thrown in there and the Leup. The 7x57 also has its followers. I all comes down to condition and how fast you have to sell.

I'd say your friends guestimate is pretty good, not many Sako's out there going for less than $700.00, BSA $400.00, Redfield $75.00, Leupold $150.00 easily, maybe $200.00 if it isn't all scratched up.Rings and base may add to the value if they are of good quality.Do the rifles come with slings and cases? Maybe he has a few pieces of brass he can throw in. FS

Prices are in the eye of the beholder aren't they?
