I want to go to a new recipe for IPSC but have a few basic questions first. I am currently shooting a 9mm Ruger P-89 with 147gr Montana CMJ with around 3.5gr of Tight Group. I do find that the muzzle flip is a little more that I would like.

I have just purchased a brand new 9mm Sig Sauer Pro 2022 to replace my P-89. I am thinking about going to a lighter 115gr Montana Gold also using Tight Group. I am however afraid I will either run into a return to battery problem with such a light bullet/load or have to jam so much powder into it I’ll have more perceived recoil/muzzle flip.

What do you think?? What would you recommend??? Also, does anyone know of any good sites where I can read up on this stuff???

I shoot 115gr JHP's over 4.1 of titegroup, with a COL of 1.10
very accurate out of my Beretta M9 and my wife's 92FS. The only guns I found that were snappy with this load were the polymer guns I sold off.. a Walther P99 and a Glock 17.
The sig should have no issues with this load.

* you wont have to "jam" the powder.. 4.1gr of titegroup is only half the
9mm case... there's lots of room.

Hard to say if it won't act similarily to P99, the sig 2020 is a poly frame also, quite similar weight. That said I'm just speculating as I have never shot a 2020.
