Hey everyone, recently picked up a ruger pc carbine and I'm having a few issues with it. I'm looking to see if anyone else has had these issues, or might have some insight into the ones I'm having. Now I did disassemble the rifle to put the glock mag adapter in, and I do not own a torq wrench for the rifles required tightening specs so it's possible I didn't tighten it enough or too much, I'm not sure so ya it's why I'm asking here. So my problems are my mag release button is sticky, it gets caught within the mag button release housing and causes issues with taking out and putting back in the glock magazines I got for it. Looks to me like it's rubbing against a single side and is not evenly in it's housing. I've also got an even more worrisome issue with the Bolt hold open. If it's held open and I hit the stock of the rifle with any kind of force the bolt slams shut either with a magazine or no magazine in the rifle and I don't think this is normal. I tested to see if it would fire even with the safety off when I did this but it did not but it still worries me. I also noticed the safety is oddly gritty feeling, and if I have the bolt shut and dry fire it, it will not engage again, only goes about half way in and wont until I #### it again is this normal? So I'm wondering overall is this a me problem and I didn't assemble it to the manuals specs or does my rifle have an issue out of the box I should contact ruger for? Honestly any help would be much appreciated, broken toys aren't fun lol.

I had a similar thing happen with mine and it turned out that I just didn't have the magwell installed correctly. I'm not sure if that is your problem or not but it sounds like it.

Well managed to fix the magazine problem took the glock magazine adapter out and same with the magazine release. Put them back in and it seemed to adjust the spacing enough to not be an issue. Now to find out if the bolt hold open is meant to fly forward.
