i am trying reloading on my own i have no mentor or help just books and of course y'all. i am loading my own sabot slugs for a rifled shotgun barrel. i have a couple of different reference materials on this process and they contradict each other. cam someone out there please help me out and clarify the order of assembly of one of these cartridges. i have pre primed shotgun shells. i have all of the components you would ever need or want for this operation but the order is just not clear. PLEASE HELP!!!
 
"...the order is just not clear..." As in does the slug go in the sabot first? Yes. All you're doing is substituting the sabotted slug for the shot charge in its wad.

What are you using for sabots?

What are the rest of the components?

What are your reference materials?

OK, so it's offline for some technical reason at the moment. This is the website for the National Reloading Manufacturers Association. You can go straight to their virtual reloading section - http://www.reload-nrma.com/videos.html - and navigate from there. Just the home page is broken.

Although I'll admit it has nothing to do with saboted slugs... it does have a shotshell section.
