I have been asked if I can help with the identification / maker of this .38” calibre, 6 chamber pepperbox pistol. The Barrel cluster is 3.5” long and is London proof marked (highlighted). I have never seen one like this before it has the box lock action of a side by side double barrel pistol, (right side hammer and front trigger are missing) I presume both hammers are cocked and individually fired, then recocked and the barrel rotated by hand to the next two loaded chambers, fired again and so on. The hammer appears to be of the 1842 shape, the shield, side plates, box lock assembly, trigger guard all appear to be forged and fabricated / brazed together. Although in relic condition it is a rare pistol and worth preserving in its present state. Any information on the design or maker of this pepperbox would be much appreciated
