Hello, I was wondering if anybody could tell me what to do about my slide stop. While shooting, the slide catches the stop with rounds still to go. No stove pipe or chamber problem. The slide just stops and I have to manually release it. I checked to see if it happened with other mags and it does. I'm just trying to picture if I could have knocked the pin up during recoil with my thumb as the problem isn't constant, and on occasions it doesn't happen for a whole mag. And when I first got the pistol, it didn't happen at all! So I really don't know what would be causing this. Any info would be appreciated. Pete:confused:

Could be recoil related, but the thumb-pad on the slide stop of a TT33 is pretty small.

Have you tried a two hand grip, placing the thumb of your non-shooting hand on top of your shooting thumb?

Is it possible that the tab on the slide stop which engages the magazine follower is a bit too long, and can contact cartridges in the magazine?

Thanks for the replies. I was waiting to go to the range and test what I think the prob was/is but with a little fiddling I think the prob is the circlip holding the stop pin. Mine seemed to be loose and not exerting any pressure on the slide stop pin to spring downwards or away from the slide. I tightened the circlip and noticed more spring in the catch now so I'll wait and see if this is the fix. Thanks again for the info.Much appreciated. Pete
