I recently got a 1941 Russian tt33 and took it to the range on the weekend. It was shooting way off to the left and wasn't even hitting paper. I was shooting 25 yards. Also when I was shooting the trigger seemed to hit my finger and that started to bother me after a bit. Do these things seem like it could be just how I'm holding it? Anybody else ever experience this? And if it isn't me anyway to fix it and how could I move the sight over? Thanks in advance

It is probably the trigger guard hitting your finger had the same problem with a SAA in .45 Colt, try using just the tip of your finger to pull the trigger. The TT33 is a snappy little gun so you may be anticipating recoil leading to inaccuracy.
I had the same problem. Blamed the pistol. There was no way I could be that bad! Shot hundreds of rounds low and left from my Polish Tokarev.
The grip is small, the trigger is unforgiving and the round is hot. So the problem was purely a combination of inexperience, improper grip, anticipating the shot and trigger control.
It takes awhile to get it straightened out. It takes much much longer to get good.
I am still very inconsistent most days but can actually do okay shooting the Tokarev.
Good thing the ammo is cheap.
