Help With Value - Browning SA 22

A buddy recently passed. His widow is seeking some help in determining the value of his firearms - one of which is as follows.....

Browning SA 22 Grade 1 Belgium made

Originally purchased late 60s or early 70s

Has been properly stored for several years.

The condition I'm advised is excellent and apparently has a very small mark / scratch somewhere on stock that can be felt with fingernail.

The photo is the best that's available to me (not the greatest)

Opinion on its value - what it would reasonably sell for - would be appreciated.

I think for a Belgian version in such good condition without the box and papers perhaps a little higher than offered so far... in the range of $800 to $900 to the right person. So low end $750 and high end $900 depending on the points below.

We can't see the rear sight in the picture and that plays into value also.

The date of manufacture plays a part, the earlier the higher the value.

Serial dates the year of manufacture as 1959.
