I dont know if this is being posted in the right forum but a friend has lent me a hard cover book from 1971-72 called "JANE'S WEAPON SYSTEM" . It has weapons from the mk v 5" 54 cal automatic gun mount, Anti-tank weapons, drawings and pictures of ssbs missile silo with rocket being fired. It goes by country and gives specs on type of warehead , missle dia launch weight ,range and so much more . It covers tanks , some aircraft,105 mm light guns and so much more . Has anyone seen this before it is very interesting . Any idea of value . He might sell it

Most libaries carry various "Janes Weapon System" books. Usually at the main branch and they may be in the reference files. You can borrow books using the inter-library loan system. I have had books sent from the National Archives, but I had to read them in the library.

Jane's still exists and is a UK company with worldwide presence that provides information on all forms of military hardware. Very handy references. Their annual books are generally priced way out of the means of us mortals - 2-3K per issue
