Help with Yugo SKS launcher site, it won't go back down.

So like the title says I raised the launcher sight on a Yugoslavian SKS that I finally got around to cleaning. We I am very familiar with Russian and Chinese SKS but am puzzled how to lower the grenade launcher on the Yugo. Is there a secret button or do I just have to push harder? It feels as if I may bend the sight by simply pushing it back down. The is probably just a but of cosmoline up in the sight but I can't access it because of the launcher sight. Any tips on how to get this thing back down?

I have watched video's but it always seems they can just be lowered back down with hand pressure. It was to raise the sight were the release requires turning of the gas cycling making it a single shot. Otherwise I don't see any buttons or things I should be pushing on to put the sight back down...or is there a secret way?

What position is the gas port valve ? When it’s off I believe it’s in the way of the front site or vice versa

The issue was the launcher sight was stuck in the open or up position.

Problem fixed. It looks easy in the video's less so in real life.

I was able to illicit the help of every milsurp rifles friend the Rubber Mallot. I think my grenade sight is just un-used or at least the little nobs holding it in place are very square edged still. I have still not been able to lower the grenade launcher sight without the mallot yet though if fully engaged. Won't be using it much anyways so down it will stay at least till its re-assembled.
