Help wtih some military abbreviations

Got an email from a friend earlier. He is helping a person he knows with a pers diary written by a relative circa WW2

Anyone make sense of the these? I do not have the context beyond what is mentioned above.

Photo's of the pertinent areas where the abbreviation occurs would really help in this case as none of them make a whole lot of sense.

CHCRU could be a replacement unit of some sort,

FGS could be FGH for the Fort Garry Horse,

C of EOD could actually mean Church of England and it was just really bad writing that made it difficult to read. Context will help a lot.

You may want to talk to some of the old WW2 Vets at the Legion on this.

Military terms and abbreviations have changed a lot over the years, and these abbreviations you have could mean something entirely different now than they did then.

I would bet the meaning of S.N.A.F.U and F.U.B.A.R haven't changed.
