A friend has had a stroke and would like to sell his Nobby UNO built rifle.

Started out as a 300 Win Mag and re-barreled to .338 Win Mag. The .300 Win Mag barrel is available. "CD on that barrel indicates manufactured in April 2008.
Has iron sights and the barrel is probably about a #3 contour.
Weighs 9 5/8 pounds with a Bausch & Lomb 3000 Elite 3 - 9 x 40 scope in Weaver Rings and bases.
Fired 35 rounds.

Your ideas please as to where he should start his pricing.

Custom or semi-custom are not easy to sell (made to meet what you want not maybe someone want too ...) and more difficult when a left handed is in the pot.

guesstimate what he s looking for and divide by two will give around what you or your friend can get unless that niche is filled by a connaisseur that is looking for the exact tool.

yours truly.

While I would normally agree 100%, a stainless laminate in .338 Win Mag with irons shouldn't be too hard of sell.

I would split the scope and sell it seperate, because he would just be making his target buyer crowd smaller by making a potential buyer pay for something they may not want. (I like the rifle, but don't like the scope.) For that scope maybe ask $150-$180.

The take off barrel is worth $70-$100 if it was not shot prior to being rebarreled.

Rifle I would ballpark around $1200
