Henry .22 Lever Action unboxing

Mine eats everything. I put a HIVIS front sight on for squirling in the tight bush. Very easy to carry little firearm. Great plinker.

Have you tried your Henry yet? Picked one up back in the summer and it is my go to when something gets the dogs excited around the house. Just the smoothest cycling lever gun I have owned. I find I just use a couple of fingers in the lever because it's a bit small for my hand so thinking about putting the large loop on it.

Shot my BNIB H001L today indoors at 25yrds. Put 150rnds of Win555 thru it without a single issue and it was surprisingly accurate.
My buddy brought his Golden Boy. Nice looking rifle! I've shot it before and side by side you can feel the difference.
The weight of the GB and the angle of the stock is noticeable switching to the 16" Carbine. (Chin vs cheek weld)
My H001L's action wasn't as smooth out of the box but felt much better after 100rnds and I'm sure it will only get smoother with use.
The GB has a Skinner barrel mounted peep vs the stock buckhorns on mine. Cycling the action with the two different levers (GB standard vs large loop) was equally effective and fast.
Both shot great but I have to admit I liked the H001L's light weight/compact size for extended shooting off hand (more).
Looking forward to the next range trip with my new plinker....

So since you were able to shoot both the regular and large loop back to back, which one do you prefer and why?

I've owned reg size loop levers before(Henry Frontier & Browning Bl) and they work fine bare-handed. I like shooting with gloves(especially in cooler temps) so the large loop gets the nod for function and IMO looks good too!
