Found a new Henry 22 magnum with mounted Bushnell Elite scope, and can't wait to try it out. (Still in transit). Wow, are Henry's ever hard to find! If you own/owned one, I'd love to hear your pros and cons.
 
Owned one for about a year back in about 2015.
Nice gun, worked perfect , & thought it would be a great truck gun on the farm,but was a bit of a bother loading & unloading tube when driving to several spots .
Sold it on & made 100 bucks. Bought a new Savage bolt Bmag in "SR" configuration with 10 round mag and 16 1/4 inch barrel. Extra clip, one in truck & one at house makes a great handy little rig.

I love mine. Henry in 22 mag is great fun around the farm and plinking gophers. The tube mag could be annoying if you were loading unloading frequently, but I don't do that so it doesn't phase me a bit.
 
You'll love the caliber if its new to you, and if it's not that's probably why you bought it. Ammo has gone up a lot recently, and isn't as plentiful, but is still out there. Henry's are great, well made and have customer service second to none. Need some pics once you get it!

Yeah buy a case when you can and try and save some money. It's only ever going to go up so you'll never lose buying what you can find.
 
Lots of places still seem to have it in the $18, $19, $20 range but I've seen some now around $25 and CT last I was in had Winchester FMJ for $32 per box of 50!

I haven't seen ammo for less than $20 in over 6 months; finding it hard to source sub $25 now.
 
G4C and Al Flahertys both have $19 22mag although if your not in southern ontario i suppose shipping sours the deal. But yeah 20's and up seems to be the new price for the most part.
