yes, one can be made easily
the only issue is the cost of the barrel compared to the cost of the rifle
the ones on ar-7 dot com (fabbed in quantity) already cost almost as much as the rifle and there's no clear improvement in accuracy or function.

When we're out of the holiday (i.e., if they're closed Monday because New Year's Day is a Sunday) phone them and talk to a person. Say "oot" or "aboot" for their amusement. Get them laughing (with or at the way we pronounce thing - who cares) and they may be more helpful.
