henry AR7

iwas a fraid of that i bought one last mounth and it,s back to henry it would jam . and i tryed 10 diffrent ammoes.

bought one 6 months ago, stock is cumbersome, jams with anything but remington thunderbolt, sights are mediocre, easy to carry though!

I have one by Charter Arms.
It shoots great with round nose, not flat point or big hollow point.
I had to put a slight chamfer at the start of the chamber, as it was too sharp and even the round nose would hang up here on occasion. KD

Sigh, Ronin had to pan it...:(

;)

As much as I respect him (he's a shrewd cookie, indeed), I think it's a neat little rifle. There are a few downsides, to be sure - it only likes the ammo it likes, the mag capacity only goes as high as 8 rounds, and it is by no means a tack-driver with that factory barrel. But that might be said about most inexpensive semi's.

Oh yes - the fact that hyper-vels are not recommended is also somewhat of a downer. I freely admit that, too.

However, if you find the ammo that works with yours (think round-nose high-velocity), you can really get to loving it. The take-down feature is lovely, and the sights are pretty decent for plinking. The shorter barrel means that the muzzle flash is cool, if you like such things, and the thing is so bloody light that it's a pleasure to tote. It stows very small, too.

ar7 sucks shyte.
I traded away 2 of them a few years back.
I don't remember what I traded them for,
but it was one of the best trades ever
just because i got rid of them.

I have the Charter Arms one and absolutely love it! It fires most high velocity quite well and is plenty accurate for hunting. The take down feature is the major selling point of this rifle as well as it's compact size and very light weight. If this means little to you, don't buy it.

I bought a camo one last fall the stock is big and the reciver is offset to the right. It's light and easy to pack but it's also a downside when packed the fron't sight get's moved and it's so light that you really have to get use to shooting it. For shooting a rabbit at 25-30 yard's it's fine once you find out what ammo it like's my'ne shoot's best with 36grain federal solid point. sometime's jam's though work's great with Remington thunderbolt's it's also fun to plink with with friend's because I have the only one around. Get the Papoose.

i also bought it because it,s short when put away. goes in my saddle bag . when it come back from henry if it still jams and i tryed the ammo that you people say that works in yours. and they all jamed second shot. like i sad if it still jams it,s going in safe to never come out.

Pull one of the bolt spring out and run target ammo through it

The Ar7 is the worst gun I have ever owned. It felt good to get rid of it.Jammed all the time and poor accuracy.Feeble construction and rough machining. My Chinese SKS, feels like a Kimber, compared to that POS AR7.

being new to fire arms i have bought a few mistakes. buying new you can buy junk. from now on i will post ?? people like you people bin there. Thanks.
