I've got a Henry Arms SxS 12 gauge shotgun in what I would call excellent condition. I'm very sure it was made in Belgium and not the US and was improted by the Henry Arms Company. I'm guessing it's from the very early 20th century, thus about 100 years old, all matching serial numbers, and it has damascus barrels/laminated steel barrles, takes 2.5" black powder shells, and has external hammers. There is no fancy scroll work or anything like that, but like I said the stock, action, and barrels are in excellent condition.

Can anyone give me an educated guess as to it's value? Any tips on how I could determine the exact date of manufacture?
Thanks in advance.

I suspect that this shotgun was one of untold thousands imported from Belgium in the later part of the 19th century and pre-WWI 20th century, and sold by the mass marketing companies of the day. Generally speaking, there is limited collector interest. Recently I saw a T. Barker 12ga double in really excellent condition sell for $300. It was actually an attractive shotgun. Barker was one of the trade names used, presumably to take advantage of possible confusion with the Parker firm. Because of the condition of your gun, it MIGHT sell for as much as the Barker I mentionned, if you could find a buyer. In the usual condition that these guns are in, their value is low.
