might be getting one in 44 mag with 16.5" barrel, should an excellent rifle for the woods, anybody have one? what do you think of it? should be good to 150yds with hornady leverevolution

I bought a Henry 44mag Mare's Leg, added a full length stock and replaced the large loop with a standard loop. 1/2" groups at 50 yards with handloads scoped and hitting a 8" gong at 100 yards with the Leverevolution with open sights.

With the brass reciever it is absolutely one smooth lever action. Never had any feeding issues. Can load 5 + 1.

12" barrel and perfect up at my cabin, in the back seat of the truck or ATV.

Tagged and bagged my 2017 deer using a 240gr bullet at 80 yards.

And it's my never to sell rifle.
