Hey there, coming from a position of ignorance so hopefully someone can shed some light here.
Sold a bunch of guns lately. With some of the proceeds, I just got a Henry Big Boy new from store in .44 Mag (my first lever). Has side loading gate and is the brass version. Absolutely gorgeous gun. The box says it is model H006G.
Everything looks in order in the package except the manual included is for a H012. The pictures on the manual seem to indicate steel receiver, which, if it is the only difference between the models, that's fine. BUT Henry online has a combo H006/H012 (legacy) manual which has the brass models on the cover and also references the H006. Not sure if this is one and the same with the H012, whether one generation is newer than the other. Thought I'd ask in case it was an easy answer. A quick cursory look online didn't turn up anything except the aforementioned manual.
Did I get the wrong manual with the right gun? Or an old manual with a newer gun? Maybe it ultimately doesn't matter and Henry updated their manuals recently. The date of testing/QA card seems to indicate Feb 2024 manufacturing so rifle itself is pretty new.
Thanks for any input.
