just received my Henry Frontier this afternoon from Tenda and in opening the Box to inspect the Firearm I notice the Left Side where the inscription HENRY REPEATING ARMS-BAYONNE NJ-MADE IN THRE USA was missing the some of the Gold inlay. I sent a email to Henry tonight and expect a reply. I will post their response when they reply.

Ah that sucks dude. Henry while still making some decent firearms, at reasonable prices. Seems to have issues with finish far too often. I had to return a Henry Big boy rifle because of bluing that looked like it was scrapped over sand paper. And had pits, and surface rust all over it. The stock was even loose and had a wiggle. I was a bit mad about it at the time, but in hindsight. With the release of the side gate model just 2 months from when I returned the Big Boy, I ended up being relieved. If I ever buy another one It would be that one. But I think I would have to see it before I made a purchase this time.

I was able to talk with a Henry representative on the phone and there shipping a Gold Inlet Kit to me so I'll see how that works out.

I had to go check mine. The sight is just a bent piece of steel, mine are both slightly different angles.

I also realized the sliding adjustment on the Brooklyn made pump engages the sight at the lowest notch but on the Bayonne built lever it doesn't engage until the 5th. Need to take the sight off and put a bit more bend in it.

I should shoot these more.....

The buckhorn looks bent to me. I'd be tempted to ask for a replacement rifle from Henry. They have a good reputation for customer service, so you'll probably get one with little hassle. I certainly wouldn't be doing the inlay repair work myself on a brand new rifle. Just sayin' ...

I hear their customer service is outstanding as others have mentioned, still a drag to see a Friday afternoon rifle go out the door. Seems to be a bit to common these days. Seems like costs could be lower if they just cared when the guns go in the box the first time.
