With the Homesteader intuitive, quick target acquisition is achieved with an adjustable full aperture rear sight and screw-on front post sight. The longer sight radius (when compared to a handgun) is far more accurate at distance and forgiving of mistakes. For those who prefer illuminated or magnified optics, the receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver 63B base. Perceived recoil is counteracted with a reciprocating mass inside the forearm, getting you back on target faster from shot to shot and inspiring confidence for the recoil sensitive. For even greater control, leather-like texturing on the genuine American walnut stocks and a soft rubber recoil pad provide non-slip contact points. Other features are a bolt hold-open lever that can be pressed from the right or left side of the carbine; M-LOK slots on the forearm; a top-mounted thumb safety switch; centrally located bottom-mounted magazine release toggle and a bolt charging handle that can be quickly and securely mounted on either side of the bolt. Ability to cater to your 9mm magazine preferences right out of the box due to its interchangeable magazine well, providing compatibility for Glock.

I'm glad to see this new brushed bronze version finally made it to Canada......:)

Unfortunately one has to be cautious that this semi-auto is on the tyrannical Liberal sh!t-list........:(

I definitely would like one, but my Spidey-Sense is tinkling! 😂 :ROFLMAO:

I bet the retail price is also nasty being this brushed bronze model is more expensive than the blued model. In addition, the Trudy/Carney 25% tariff will make this close to $2000.00.:(

I will bet you that the Canadian distributor/middleman mark-up to the dealer is more than the tariff.

Mark up by distributors is usually close to 20%, the actual dealer mark up can be as high as 30% or more.

The 25% Liberal tariff on firearms, ammunition, powder, primers, bullets, and other hunting accessories was put into effect by design to kill-off the hunting/target shooting sports industry.:oops:

Are there firearm retailers in Canada who can order factory-direct? I can purchase a NR firearm and import it myself if I am willing to wait for a bit and do some paperwork... I would think there are some retailers that would do this as opposed to paying a Canadian distributor to warehouse and then ship the same product they can get direct.

There had been a few initial bad reviews. Most are positive these days.

I’d rather have a Ruger PCC, or a S&W M&P PCC… but here we are. 🤷‍♂️

The build quality is quite nice. It’s a beautiful rifle, but if it doesn’t work then it’s junk. I’m happy to say mine has worked well for the few rounds I’ve shot.

I’ve got other 9mm carbines that I shoot more frequently, so they take most of my 9mm time.

I despise these Liberals as much as you do and I believe Canada's response has been wrong with retaliatory tariffs (surtax). President Trump handles Carney like a rag doll and has completely out-classed him. And yes, southern Ontario aging boomers are predominantly liberal supporters en masse; I suppose there are some people here that fit that demographic. But if you take a look at what the 25% (now 35%) surtax applies to, firearms, ammunition and components are a very small fraction of the overall list. The list is here...

My understanding and experience as a former dealer has taught me that North Sylva and Big Rock Sports are the only two Canadian Henry firearms importers here.:)

They are the only ones who buy direct from the Henry factory. That I know of.

Irunguns (IRG), and maybe Prophet River (PR), can import Henry firearms as well. I'm not sure if they buy factory direct, or from an American distributor. :unsure:

Either way you look at it, the 25% Liberal tariff will still have to be paid.:(:oops:

I think that was the first gen, I think they fixed it for the second gen, I seen reviews where it is nothing but reliable
 
These rifles use a blowback and an extension spring in front of the bolt in the handguard to cycle the action whereas your traditional blowback uses a compression spring to cycle the action which is always behind bolt, it is something I have never seen before and makes the recoil impulse different than other PCCs.
