Picked up a Henry lever .22 this evening. Out of the box the action was nice and smooth... I went and put 300ish rounds thru her and by the end the action was really rough to cycle. It had quite the metal on metal grinding feeling to it.

Is this normal after so few rounds? I'm hoping it just needs a good cleaning?

Here are some pic's of the inside of a Henry. Took mine apart. Fairly simple to put back together.

This is a picture of what it looked like before I took it apart :)

My week old Golden Boy experienced the same phenomenon. I lubed the action a little and it seemed to improve, but it's still not a smooth as it was out of the box.

300Spartans and Bull's-Eye,

Where can go (online) to learn how to disassemble and do a complete degreasing?

I completely disassembled, cleaned, and lubed it up. Feels like new again! We put another 300 rounds thru her today and it still feels good.

On a related note.. dose anyone know if the sights are adjustable L/R? It seems to be consistently shooting 5" to the left.
