I'm just wondering what others have done to this gun as far as sights go. The stock ones are horrible (on mine at least). Any ideas on improving this fun little gun?

Just in case anyone wonders, it's the base .22 model 001

It would not be too hard to cut the crappy post off and use triangle files to cut a new dovetail to accept a replacement front sight. Takes Balz though to cut into the barrel, because i don't think you would have enough meat left on the plastic band.... I'd do it.
Otherwise... i don't know. The easiest thing would be to use needle files to reshape the existing post, but no matter what it's a crappy design when the tube magazine can pry the sight from side to side like it does. I sold mine based on the frustration the sights gave me.
Good luck, keep us posted on what you do.

*EDIT: Just thinking, you could do the poor mans firesight... three dots of white paint, one on the front blade tip and one on either side of the rear leaf notch. Or you could get fancy and use red for the front, or even glow in the dark for all 3.
