Henry Lever Action Optics Question

Hi all,

Still relatively new to the firearms world and optics certainly isn’t my strongest point. I have acquired a Henry Lever Action (H001) that is like to put something like a Nikon PROSTAFF Rimfire II on but I’m not 100% sure what I need or if it’ll even work. I think this particular firearm has a dovetail mount but wondering if anyone has the same firearm and put optics on it.

Thanks!

Lever actions and scopes is sacrilege!
On a rimfire it might be acceptable...... maybe.
Not really sure about the Nikon, but a scope for rimfires usually has the parallax fixed at 50 yards.
3x9x40 or 4x12x40? Usually a fixed power at around 4x is all you need for rimfires.

Last time I looked into this I found Henry's site listed these rings for that rifle. Looking at the pictures of the packaging it looks like Leupold part number is 54289. Googling that part number the Canadian retailers are list around $86. I lost interest at those prices.

You have to make sure that whatever rings you choose are high enough for the scope to clear the rear v sight.
