I don't know why they don't, it would have been my preference! But since they don't, I decided to settle an a fun .357 carbine.

I think Henry nailed it for a "black" levergun. Actual polymer stock instead of painted wood, tasteful length of rail and MLOK slots in suitable positions, threaded muzzle, all good choices. I think I would have liked a longer barrel/mag tube, but it's not bad!
 
I prefer the look of the Henry X over the Marlin Dark, plus Remington is about to close their doors.
