well i stopped into lebarons for a cold blue kit and some shotshells and the guy at the gun counter hands a customer this silver gunstock whioch caught my attention so i whatch as he unsnaps the buttpad pulls the action magizine out attached them to the stock then slides the barrel out and screws it to the action damn when taken down and put away this thing small enough to fit in a back pack on under your seat i know what i am buying soon:D :D :D

2 8 shot mags fit in there. I think it's a cool rifle and asked the forum. Aparently it sucks. I'm still getting one. :) Plain black, might camo it myself...

I love it! I think it's because I can shoot and don't blame scope, trigger, barrel, stock for poor results. However, the only part that need adjustment is the trigger, the rest is fine. The stupid part is that there is no compartment for the ammo in it.

This may be a nice little firearm, but I hope you don't need warranty!! I bought a Henry Big Boy in 44Rem. Mag and had trouble. I e-mailed the company for their Canadian repair shop and they don't have one. They told me to send it back to NewYork by their importer(North Silva in Toronto) and that they would fix or replace it.Can you imagine all the problems this will cause with the USA import and Canadian export permits. I took it to my gunsmith in Ottawa. Now they won't pay the bill for repairs. They won't even ship parts to Canada unless you have an import permit.

I Got A Camo One And It Shoots 100% Reliable With Cci Stingers. I Think It Likes The Hotter Load To Cycle Properly.
Its A Great Little Gun,,,i Keep It In The Holiday Trailer Year Round.

When it comes right down to it is it good enough for a survival gun? Or is the the M6 a better choice?

I have a Charter Arms AR7 which is basically the same thing. It is finicky with ammo, but operates flawlessly with almost any name-brand high speed 22LR's.

It will shoot 2 inch groups at 25 yards with the sheet metal peep sight. IMO that is enough to shoot a grouse or porky in the body if you were in an actual survival situation.

My buddy just bought a camo one from SIR. It was a Lemon right out of the box:mad: . Misfires galore! As well as jams when it did fire. He was gonna send it back And I asked o look at it first. I stripped it down an found that one of the two recoil springs were deformed where it met the back of the reciver. I formed it back to shape and put it in the other way so that the problem end of the spring was inside the bolt when it could no longer get deformed.

Shoots flawless ever since. I'm gonna get me one too:D

The new ones use a plastic barrel the old ones used an aluminum barrel. I would gladly take one if I was lost in the woods but I would prefer a single shot cooey any day.

I also bought an Armalite AR7 years ago:D ..I'd love to give an opinion on it but it has sat unfired in its original case since the day it arrived:eek: ..Yikes..Looks pretty impressive, but not having fired it I cant say..Seems like a lot of folks have had problems with the design..
Oh well, maybe some day..
Cheers

Meh...

Backpack = .410 backpacker - sure, it's a single shot but it "packs" a bit more punch than a .22 and it's a quick break action

Under the seat (ie. truck gun) = Win 94 30-30

Thank you! Goodnight! ;)

I have the Charter Arms version of this rifle. Putting a slight chamfer at the edge of the chamber took care of much of the jamming problems, round nose bullets seem to take care of the rest. Being so light, it takes some concentration to keep it under 2 in. at 25 yds. It's a pretty cool little survival rifle.KD
