Henry single shot rifles

I have been trying to find one in 308 anywhere in Canada, has production stopped? They seem to have disappeared from the market.

I've been looking for one too, I think the recall is holding things up. Taken from Henry's website:

"Henry Repeating Arms Company has recently discovered a potential safety issue with H015 Single Shot Rifles and Single Shot Shotguns. Henry is voluntarily initiating a recall to protect the safety of its customers.

To prevent the possibility of death or serious personal injury, you should immediately stop using your H015 model Single Shot Rifle and/or Single Shot Shotgun and not load or fire them until they have been upgraded.

The Issue & Fix:
Under certain conditions, it is possible that some of these rifles and shotguns may discharge without the trigger being pulled if the hammer is partially cocked and released. Henry has identified the cause of the issue, and it will be corrected by replacing various components of the fire control system."

We have not stopped production on any of the Single Shot models, but the recall did throw a wrench into regular shipments on top of everything else that all manufacturers have been facing this year with material shortages, supply chain delays, reduced workforces, etc.
The good news is that any Single Shot that we have shipped in the past 6-7 months is already upgraded and is not subject to recall.
It may not be particularly fast, but we would suggest speaking with a local dealer to see if they're able to get one ordered for you through their preferred importer.

How does one know if the recall has been done or identify a gooder one?

Just Gretch. Personally I’d love to have a Henry they seem to have their heads screwed on straight in terms of corporate culture. I just don’t really dig levers.

Wish i could find one forsale :( I myself have been looking for the last few months and seems like no dealers want to carry much :(
I need more Single Shot's!!!

If there were more in Canada they would probably be a hit. I sold a 223 and had guys offering me more than new price after I had already sold it.

Unless I'm just not looking in the right place to buy them.

It took me almost a year to snag the .223 single shot, I was watching here, MEWE, ####### and several of the shops at the top that carry it (usually for a short period then they are sold out again). What I did was to bookmark the "Sold Out" links into a folder and once or twice a week just opened the folder into the tabs. You could try reaching out to Henry and maybe they can give you a heads up where the next or latest shipments are going since it seems getting things across the border right now is a real slow process.
There are many WTB for that rifle in the "Exchange of Hunting and Sporting Rifles" some titles even say Dealers welcome, worth a try.
Good luck.

Seems no Henry's in stock where I got it, so a few others that atleast have holding places or other Henrys.

Canadian Tire in Cranbrook, BC will apparently be carrying a huge Henry supply of rifles, including single shot models. If they can get them in 2021.

They are currently remodeling their hunting/fishing section and turning it into a Pro Shop. It's suppose to be similar to the CT Pro Shop in Lethbridge, Calgary (McLeod Trail) and Prince George.

I look forward to the Grand Opening sometime this spring.

This is the first I've heard about this recall. I have one, bought last May. Haven't shot it yet, but part of the reason I bought it was for the kids so now that I know there is an issue I want to get it sorted out.

(I bought mine at GoTenda for those who are wondering)

Ones that have been upgraded have a dimple behind trigger.

Mine was upgraded and return shipping in about a week and a half.
Gretchen outdoors does warranty in Canada, not a big fan from previous experience.
