Wow! If it had a side loading gate, it would be perfect.

Can't get to the site right now (Henry's servers messed) but it does sound cool. I agree with the side loading port thing. Would make life easier.

I prefer tube loading anyway, and the steel receiver is no big deal... but if they used it to help shed a pound or pound and a half, that would make a nice gun... nicer...

I find tube loading slicker than gate loading when I shoot the Henry and the Rossi side by side. It's nice that they think a bit different.

It's also a nod to the original Henry.

Big boy is a heavy thing, though. R92 weighs nothing next to it

All they did there was size their .45/70 platform to the pistol calibers... I'll keep my BB as is...

That is good news. If I was buying a new lever action i would give Henry a very serious look. The tube loading is counter to my levers but not a game changer. In many decades of hunting with levers I have never needed to reload while hunting. One accidental discharge happened when a guy dropped the hammer on a Win 94 while unloading. The Henry system shines for unloading and never having to chamber a round or work the lever.

I still use my 444 or Win 94s and 92s but if buying a new lever Henry makes an honest alternative to a Remlin, Winoku, Rossi or Italian choices. Most folks rave about the fit and finish.
