Henry Varmint express 17hmr ?

Thinking about purchasing a Henry Varmint Express .

Any one have or had one they can share their thoughts on it ?

Was it accurate ?

Cycle good ?

fit and finish ?

Anything else you may be ableto add.

I have heard good things. The only thing I heard that was not so good was the scope mount that is needed. Kind of flimzy which causes the scope never to be right on.

Go with open sights with this rifle.

I can see from pics where the mount would be a concern.


Is the receiver grooved as well ?

If it is a 17hmr you are after; consider the Henry Frontier model. Much nicer with the Octagon barrel. Just my .02 cents

Yes I saw that. May be a better alternative than the varmint. Think their both the same price.
